TPACS is a platform meant to capture, store, distribute, and then display medical images. Electronic images and reports are transmitted digitally via PACS; this eliminates the need to manually file, retrieve or transport film jackets or other media items.

Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology implements complete automation of Billing & Registration

Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, a super-specialty hospital for cardiac care, today announced that it has completely automated the Billing and Registration procedure. This has been implemented by Srishti Software using their in-house product 'PARAS-HIS'.
The solution comprises of complete registration & billing modules. Earlier there were 8 counters where billing & registration used to take place and visitors were required to visit multiple counters to complete the process of registration and billing. Using this implementation, the counters have been merged and the billing and registration takes place at single counter itself. Currently, 4 such counters have been activated.
The registration module tracks the revisits of patients and bills them accordingly. The complete investigation, diagnosis rate list has been entered in the database already with respect to the different schemes (CGHS, Arogya Bhagya, Yeshaswini etc). This leads to faster data entry.
"As a result of the implementation there are no queues at the registration and billing counters. We are able to provide better customer satisfaction. Going forward we would be looking at implementing other modules of PARAS-HIS", said Dr. C.N. Manjunath, Director, Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology.
